I am a learning scientist with quantitative research experience. I study programming education at the elementary/primary level. I have led multiple strands of quantitative analysis on classroom data, including a variety of statistical techniques, from data wrangling to advanced quantitative methods such as structural equation modeling (SEM) in R.
Previously, I published qualitative research in a leading role at leading learning science and education conferences. I have collaborated with multiple research teams, contributing to qualitative work resulting in two journal publications.
My collaborative design work includes creating a set of computing instructional units for grade 5, which is currently being used by a school district. I have also converted two introductory computing units into open access educational resources (OER). I also co-taught an undergrad-level online course at my department on the use and integration of technology in education.
I hope to graduate with a Ph.D. in Instructional Technology and Learning Sciences by the end of the year 2023.
