Come learn about the 30+ free interactive ebooks on the open-source Runestone Interactive platform that can be used in high school (AP CSP and AP CSA) or college computing courses (CS1, CS2, data science, discrete math, database, and web programming). These ebooks include executable and modifiable code, unit tests (for Python, C++, Java, and SQL), and a wide variety of practice problems. The workshop will introduce new features including new types of Parsons problems and support for both remote and in-person Peer Instruction. It will also walk participants through creating a custom ebook, registering students for that custom ebook, creating assignments and timed exams, automatically grade assignments and exams, reviewing student progress, and setting up a tool to encourage spaced practice. Participants will need a laptop and an internet connection.
