Automatically Generating CS Learning Materials with Large Language ModelsGlobalIn-Person & Online
Sat 18 Mar 2023 13:00 - 16:00 at 714 - Workshop 404
Recent breakthroughs in Large Language Models (LLMs), such as GPT-3 and Codex, now enable software developers to generate code based on a natural language prompt. Within computer science education, researchers are exploring the potential for LLMs to generate code explanations and programming assignments. In this 3-hour workshop, organizers will first demonstrate the state-of-the-art capabilities of LLMs, attendees will then engage in guided hands-on learning activities, and finally, everyone will join in brainstorming sessions to evaluate whether and how LLMs might be integrated into their pedagogy and research. Our goal for this workshop is to raise awareness about LLMs and expand our growing learning community around these topics.
